Ginning is over

April 7, 2018

Ginning is now virtually over with only a couple of operations still active finishing off whatever residual tonnage has been left(basically ELS) of the 300,000 tons crop out of which about 134,000 tons Upland and 19,000 tons ELS have been sold for export. Land preparation having been concluded, planting has been completed in the southern regions according to the plan while continuing in the northern ones at a somewhat lower pace though due to weather instability and to the unseasonably low temperatures of these days. The allotment of 540,000 hectares for sowing purposes has reportedly been confirmed. So far no replanting has been necessary.
